Susan Jill (Swanson) Bigelow

Manton - Susan Jill Bigelow, of Manton, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 while enjoying her favorite pastime, riding around the countryside with her husband enjoying the scenery.  She was 75.

Susan was born on May 25, 1949, in Cadillac, Michigan to John and Joy (Maxwell) Swanson. She grew up in Manton, attending school at Manton Consolidated Schools and graduating with the class of 1967.

She entered into marriage with Charles "Chuck"  Bigelow on August 7, in 1970.

Susan made a living as a medical receptionist.  Susan enjoyed maintaining her flower garden, mushroom hunting in the spring and riding around all the back roads with her husband.

She could often be found watching her kids and grandkids compete in sporting events.  Susan will be remembered for her complete devotion and love for her family. 

Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Chuck Bigelow of Manton; her son, Jon (Tammy) Bigelow of Manton; her daughter, Keri (Jeff) Puffer of Manton; her grandkids, Allison Bigelow, Brianna Puffer, Jacob Bigelow & Luke Puffer ; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside celebration of life service will be held in the spring.
