Roger Francis Hurley, age 81, of Manton, Michigan, and formerly of Cass City, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his home with his loving wife, Connie, by his side.
Born on April 7, 1944, Roger was the son of the late George W. and Helen C. (Spiewak) Hurley. Roger had a profound love for his family and cherished the time they spent together. He especially enjoyed taking all the children fishing in the Cass River, creating lasting memories on the water. Dedicated to his community, Roger proudly served as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Elkland Township Fire Department in Cass City, as well as the Cedar Creek Fire Department in Manton.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Connie Nicol; his children, Lorie Hurley, Steven (Pam) Hurley, Wendy (Rick) Sekely, Carlene Nicol, and Chrystal (fiancé, Allen) Nicol; his beloved grandchildren, Shawn, Adam (Krissy), Jeffrey, Kristin, Kaitlin, Linseye, Abbie, and Tabitha; and his precious great-grandchildren, Raegan and Rowan. He also leaves behind his brothers, Don (Nancy) Hurley and Dennis Hurley, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Roger was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Tammy Hurley, and his brothers, George Hurley and Timothy Hurley.
In accordance with Roger’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, and in true reflection of his spirit, Roger requested that you simply take the time to "do something for yourselves".
