Karol Sue Wiles- 80, passed away Saturday September 7th 2024. She was born on November 1st, 1943 in Battle Creek Michigan to Raymond and Doris Priest. She was preceded in death (& reunited at the gates of Heaven) by her older sister Constance “Connie” Cross to whom she shared the deepest bond.
Karol is survived by her only child, Her Daughter- Wendy Kay Morrison (Born Oct 13th 1963) and her two Grandchildren. Granddaughter- Morgan Leigh Morrison and her Grandson Travis John Morrison. She married John Wiles August 16th 1968. Together, her, Wendy & John owned and operated Custer Party Store in Springfield, Michigan for 20 Years. During that time she also played a great role in raising her Grandchildren and was present in each of their lives since the day they were born.
Karol and John retired to Naples, Florida in 2001, and soon after, her Daughter and Grandchildren followed to be near them. With such a small, close- knit family (of 5), our ties were deeply intertwined, with Karol (Grandma) being the backbone of our family.
Karol was not only a Mother, Grandmother, Wife and Sister she was our best friend & our rock. She was the glue that held us all together.
For me personally, she was all of those things and more.. My Grandma was my mentor, my teacher & my greatest role model. During some of the more difficult times of my life my Grandmother was the first person I would call or run to, because with her I knew I would always find the comfort and security that I was looking for. When my heart had been broken, she put it back together. When I had made bad choices, she certainly corrected me (Ha) but she never judged me. She only guided me with her wisdom, strength and unconditional love. When my world was chaotic she was my peace, when my housing was unstable, she sheltered me…She was not just my Grandmother. She was my *home* -in every sense of that word.
If love alone could have saved her, she would have lived forever
Although, we appreciate this announcement of her passing by “Cremation Services Only” I think I can speak for my entire family, her friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her- That the passing of such a phenomenal woman deserves so much more than one small generic paragraph.
We have not yet set a specific date to celebrate her life, although we will be doing that within ourselves everyday.
Please contact John Wiles for more information on formal services. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.CremationServicesOnly.com. The family is being served by Cremation Services Only.
