Karen Lynn Holloway, 57, of Leroy, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at her home after bravely battling cancer. Karen was born in Dearborn, Michigan, the daughter of Kenneth and Diane Holloway. Karen cherished her family, friends, and the great outdoors. Her passions included spending time with her loved ones, camping, fishing, and going to the beach. She adored tending to her lawn and flowers during the summer months. Her caring nature led her to pursue a career in nursing, working at Henry Ford, Wyandotte, and Cadillac Munson Hospital. She will be fondly remembered for her kindness by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by the love her life, Danny Montague, and her two children, Alexandria Bostwick (Kenneth Collis) of Inkster, Michigan, and Zachary Bostwick of Luther, Michigan. She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Alivia, Nova, and Henry; her father, Kenneth of Garden City, Michigan; and her brothers, Richard (Rhonda) Holloway of Canton, Michigan, and Douglas (Virginia) Holloway of Westland, Michigan; as well as many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Holloway.
Karen's life will be celebrated from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the VFW Post 4422, 11590 Pine Street, Taylor, Michigan 48180. In honor of Karen's wishes, this will be an alcohol-free event. In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Karen's name to the Glioblastoma Foundation, P.O. Box 62066 Durham, North Carolina, 27715.
