Gary Alan Hammond

Hammond, Gary Alan of Muskegon, MI passed away at age 66 on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 of a brain aneurism (NOT covid!)

Born 07/09/1954 in Muskegon, MI. He grew up in the Orchard View area. Other than a brief few years out of state, Muskegon was his home. He was an avid fisherman. He loved to deer hunt when he was younger as well as being a CB enthusiast and he went by Nature Boy. In July of 1986 he married his true love, Doreen Hammond of Muskegon. He was a kind and gentle man. He and his wife raised 4 dogs and he loved them dearly. He also loved the Chicago Cubs and was so happy to see them win a World Series. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.

His parents (Harold and Rena Hammond) and sister (Patricia Vellenga) all of Muskegon, met him at Heaven’s gates. He is survived by his wife Doreen Hammond and his beloved furbaby Bosco, one sister, nieces and cousins.

There will be a Memorial Service on July 17, 2021 at 11am with lunch following at Living Water Bible Church 460 Wood St. Muskegon, MI 49442.

In lieu of flowers he would want donations sent to his wife’s ministry: The Lord’s Quilters or the Alzheimer’s organization.
