Antonio Madrid Obituary

Antonio Madrid, of Tustin, MI, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was 77 years old.

Antonio was born on December 19, 1948 to Antonio and Angelita (Soto) Madrid in Lynn County, Texas. He proudly answered the call of duty serving in the United States Army for many years. After returning to civilian life, he spent his career working for Road Runner Auto Transport until his time of retirement. In his spare time, he could often be found wrenching on his ‘69 Chevelle, sitting in the backyard with family telling stories, taking care of his family, or playing Bunco with his Senior friends. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren at campgrounds and lakes in the area. He was always known for his vibrant personality putting smiles on everyone's faces and not once had he ever met a stranger! Loved by so many friends and family members, he will be missed tremendously, but remembered eternally.

Antonio is survived by his loving children, Lisa Westheimer (Jamie) of Tustin, MI and Antonio Madrid, Jr. (Lora Lee) of Sebring, FL; grandchildren, Anita, Avery, Larissa, and David; a great-grandchild Xander; siblings, Ciso (Emily), Sue (Paul), Theresa, Chris (David); and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Angelita; and siblings, Frank and Lupe.

Services will be held later this Summer in the Chicago area.
